Hi, I’m Amber!


I’m a Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) through the National Career Development Association (NCDA).


I believe in being intentional about your career choices, and I also believe that before you can be intentional, you need a solid foundation of knowledge.


Knowledge of self, knowledge of options, knowledge of your own agency and how to use it. I also believe having someone on your team that’s supportive, encouraging, a good listener, and focused on accountability can make a huge difference (hint, that’s me!).


I’ve spent decades shaping careers for medium and large corporations through my work with job design, total rewards, and employee advocacy. Now I coach the next generation to shape their own.

Foundations 1:1 Coaching

The Foundations program for young adults (18 to 26) is all about, you guessed it, building your foundation. In this program, we identify your skills and interests, explore the full landscape of the working world, and equip you with tools to make the next right decision for you, over the entirety of your career. Will we figure out your one true (career) love? Maybe. But I think we’ll figure out something better - a personalized toolkit that helps you find all kinds of true (career) love. We’ll also cover important aspects of finances and mental health.

Transitions 1:1 Coaching

The Transitions program is for anyone who is in (or looking to be in) a time of transition. This is for you, pivoters! We’ll get clarity on skills, interests, and priorities, and get creative on charting your course into this next phase of life.

1:1 Career Coaching

Career Coaching is a la carte guidance with a less structured approach.

Job Search Support

Job Search Support includes targeted services such as resume refresh, cover letter consult, or interview practice sessions.

Career Sabbatical Planning

Considering a travel career sabbatical? That’s great, I took an entire year away from work to travel around the world, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I can help you identify goals, gather information effectively, come up with a plan, and figure out the finances.

Exploratory Call

I always recommend starting with a 30-minute exploratory call to determine whether your needs and my skill set are a good match. I hope this is the start to a great working relationship!

  • Who is Juniper Career & Life Design ideal for?

    I love to work with dreamers, rose-colored glasses wearers, visionaries, achievers, knowledge-seekers, creators, relators, people who just KNOW that there’s more to life than its default settings. Most of my clients are female or nonbinary, and I’m LGBTQ+ friendly.

  • How many sessions will I need?

    If you participate in the Foundations or Transitions program, there are a set number of sessions. All other arrangements are custom and will depend on the needs of the client.

  • Where does coaching happen?

    All coaching sessions will be held via Zoom.

  • How much does coaching cost?

    The Foundations program includes six (6) 1:1 coaching sessions, a variety of skill assessments, a digital catalog that includes dozens of helpful resources, and a one-page portfolio that pulls together your skills, interests, and priorities at a glance. Cost = $800.


    The Transitions program includes four (4) 1:1 coaching sessions, two skill assessments, and a digital catalog of resources.  Cost = $550


    1:1 coaching, job search support, and career sabbatical planning sessions are offered at an hourly rate of $150.


    30-minute exploratory calls are offered for $30.
